We love Roisin Murphy’s sweet-ish Irish electro-funk-pop, but we can’t help but notice how similar Daniel Wolfe’s [Partizan] video for “Let Me Know” is to Jonny C’s [No Performance] video of Drew Brown’s “Anything“.
Both explore how a normally mundane café environment can be turned into an exciting showplace. But mostly, both have sparklers. Check them both out:

Drew Brown - Anything
so the end of our landa residence has arrived. we are all moved out, in different places, reshuffled and refiled. we will miss ourselves.
no performer satelliter linds has documented some moments from our tenure. check out her pictures of us on and around her photoblog ALifesWorkInProgress.

When I went to deposit checks on Sunday at B of A in Silver Lake, all the deposit envelopes were gone — at every ATM! So I went to the one at Echo Park / Sunset. They got hit too! No way to make a deposit at a B of A on the eastside this weekend.
It’s kind of funny, kind of dick. A pretty good prank will have those elements. I sometimes wonder if someone will lace the adhesive part of the deposit envelopes with arsenic or something. I always lick cautiously.

GIMIX
length: 46min approx, pre-recorded
GIMIX is the grandaddy. Completed on May 13, 2000, it was released by The Avalanches to combat the bootlegs of their (unfinished) album which were finding their way around Australia and the U.K. It was available on the cassette “Contains Elements Of Since I Left You” for $10 at Avalanches gigs, as early as July 2000. In July 2001, a promotional GIMIX cd was put out by Modular Records Australia. Upon their US Visit in late 2001, some ‘official’ gimix CDRs were given to US radio stations.
