Jonathan Coleman hails from a flood plain in New Orleans, Louisiana, where his tendency to sweat never seemed to agree with the sticky swamp air. Currently residing in Franklin Hills (cleverly sandwiched between Los Feliz & Silverlake), Jonny paints, photographs, sleeps, storyboards, edits, and writes, all the while continuing a twenty-one year old metaphorical chess match with self doubt.

From USC Cinema-TV Production School and elsewhere, Jonny has experience DPing, cutting, writing, and producing, but directing is at the forefront of his abilities – specifically music videos and features. He has an affinity for the geometric, the graphic, the sassy, the surreal, the obscure, the weird, the empty, the nostalgic, the extreme. He admires those who push the boundaries of accessibility, good taste, proper hygiene, and pop and prog music. Though an affiliate of Hollywood Mutants & Friends, Jonny peers outside of the fettering smog of L.A. for projects outside of the Southland.
